Natural 100% Pure Honey from the Leicestershire & Derbyshire Countryside

Bee farmer and local honey producer based in Measham, North West Leicestershire.

We produce natural, premium 100% pure honey using absolute minimal processing. We are ethical in our approach to running the business and wherever possible avoid single-use plastics. Our jars, lids, labels and gift boxes are fully recyclable.

We can attend events with an observation hive between May and September and can also deliver talks on bees and beekeeping – please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Unlike some producers, we can guarantee the honey you buy from us is from Leicestershire or just over the border in South Derbyshire and produced by our own bees.

In 2022 we had about 85 production hives and 30 nucleus colonies, which are a small-sized hives used for raising new bees. In 2023 we aimed to increase both numbers of hives and nucleus colonies. We also raise about 100 queens per year. 2025 we now have over 180 colonies.

2023 Temple Bees entered 3 of our local honeys into the prestigious Great Taste Award - run by The Guild of Fine Food. All 3 honeys entered won awards. The Leicestershire Summer Honey was awarded 2 stars. The Newtown Linford and Mountsorrel honeys were both awarded 1 star.

2024 Awards - Temple Bees have won another award - The Leicestershire Summer Honey has been awarded a 1 Star.

2025 Awards - Our Chilli Honey has won 2 stars in thies years great taste award.
