We've tried various types of chilli, and the best results are using fresh chillies.

No extra heating of the honey required to infuse the chilli flavour.

It's great on the barbeque, as a honey chilli glaze on a ham, or on your roast vegetables as they go in the oven!

We produce natural, premium 100% pure honey using absolute minimal processing. We are ethical in our approach to running the business and wherever possible avoid single-use plastics. Our jars, lids, labels and gift boxes are fully recyclable.

We can attend events with an observation hive between May and September and can also deliver talks on bees and beekeeping – please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Unlike some producers, we can guarantee the honey you buy from us is from Leicestershire or just over the border in South Derbyshire and produced by our own bees.

In 2022 we had about 85 production hives and 30 nucleus colonies, which are a small-sized hives used for raising new bees. In 2023 we aimed to increase both numbers of hives and nucleus colonies. We also raise about 100 queens per year. 2025 we now have over 180 colonies.

Award Winning Leicestershire Honey from Temple Bees

Temple Bees entered 3 of our local honeys into the prestigious 2023 Great Taste Award - run by The Guild of Fine Food.

We have now had the results for the honey entered and all 3 honeys entered won awards. The Leicestershire Summer Honey was awarded 2 out of 3 stars. All from the bees situated around the area. The Newtown Linford and Mountsorrel honeys were both awarded 1 star.

2024 and we have won another award - The Leicestershire Summer Honey has been awarded a 1 Star.
