Award Winning Runny Honey - Great Taste Awards 2023 and 2026 - 1 star

The bees forage mostly on the organic farmland and wildflower meadows near the River Soar in Mountsorrel, Leicestershire to produce this honey.

This is what the Great Taste Award judges had to say about this honey in 2026:

  • This has a heavenly aroma with some mint or water mint menthols. These appear on the palate too, as part of a reasonably varied evolution of flavours. This is, briefly, quite a potent honey, but fades away fairly quickly, not developing a long or complex finish.

  • A pure, golden honey with high viscosity. The judges found this honey really intriguing - there was a cooling menthol quality to the flavour, reminiscent of throat lozenges. They would have liked more complexity on the finish, as the flavour ended a little abruptly.

I picked this up at Hinckley Feast and I'm about to run out and order some more. Absolutely GORGEOUS honey. So sweet, great on toast or with teas and coffee. And really lovely if you're making a savoury dish and want to add a little sweetness. Particularly delicious with a ginger tea!

Thank you - we will be back for the Christmas market!
