Newtown Linford Honey

Award Winning Runny Honey - Great Taste Awards 2023 and 2026 - 1 star

The bees forage on some of the oldest documented woodland in Leicestershire to produce this honey.  A unique, rich flavour.

This is what the Great Taste Award judges had to say about this honey in 2026:

• This honey has a pleasingly bright colour and clear appearance with a runny texture. It has a fresh aroma and is inviting with bright notes, and a crisp acidity. This is a really interesting honey that delighted the judges with the varied, interesting and and diverse combination of flavours revealed from the honey. A totally delicious and interesting product that judges loved tasting and commented on how joyful it felt for them to taste.

• A very approachable easy - to enjoy - honey. It has depth of flavour with a good evolution on the palate, unpacking layers of florals and some welcome supporting bitters. It's not especially enduring though, we would have liked a longer and more complex finish.

• A clear, light honey that offers quite a complex flavour profile. While giving little away on nose, on the palate it kicks quite a punch. There are headily sweet floral high notes and a lingering pleasant complexity on the palate that delivers a fresh finish with a light floral touch.

• A lovely clear honey that leans into the sweetness with some fruity floral notes. We loved the clarity of the honey though the texture was quite thin. The judges loved the slight finish of chestnut.
